The Norfolk SPCA is seeking a full time veterinarian for our high volume, affordable public clinic. The ability to do 20-25 surgeries per day is a plus. A successful candidate MUST be able to multitask, communicate well verbally and in writing, and work in a fast-paced environment. Competitive rates and benefits are offered. Must hold a Virginia DVM license in good standing and have a DEA license or be eligible to obtain one.
A VA DVM license in good standing or the ability to obtain one.
Availability in the daytime and evening hours, as well as some weekend and holiday availability.
Experience providing quality medical and surgical care in the general practice setting.
Experience providing quality dental care for clinic patients and shelter animals, following currently accepted standards.
Experience in or the strong interest in learning the practice of shelter medicine.
Ability to maintain all records as dictated by federal, state, and agency standards.
