PRACTICE DESCRIPTION: Gaithersburg Animal Hospital is a full service companion animal hospital located in the Gaithersburg/Rockville area of Montgomery County, one of the largest and most affluent suburban areas of the Washington, DC metropolitan region. The hospital is the oldest continuing veterinary service in the immediate area and enjoys an outstanding reputation, consistently ranking highest in quality and value and selected to “areas top vets” by leading consumer publications Consumer Checkbook and Washingtonian Magazine. Gaithersburg Animal Hospital is also a winner of Angie’s List Super Service Award for 2012-2016. Case load averages 40-60 office visits and 5-10 surgeries per day with an approximate distribution of 45% feline, 55% canine. The hospital is well equipped with digital radiography, cold laser, EKG, ultrasound, automated hematology and chemistry analyzers, surgical suite and is staffed by a large, dedicated and progressive veterinary and paraprofessional staff. We also offer acupuncture. Practice hours are 7am-7pm Monday-Friday and 7:30 am -1pm on Saturday. The hospital refers to several nearby emergency centers and is convenient to a full complement of board certified referral specialists.
HOURS: Approximately 38 hours per week, including a portion of evening and Saturday duty. No after-hours emergency responsibilities.
SALARY: negotiable depending on prior experience and qualifications. New graduates welcome to apply. Additional production bonus compensation available after the first year of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an approved College of Veterinary Medicine. License to practice in Maryland. Person-oriented with excellent communication and client relation skills.
