January 3, 2018
Type & Experience Level:
Full Time - One to seven years
DVM or equivalent
The Animal Emergency Clinic has two open positions. We are looking for an Emergency Veterinarian as well as an experienced ER Medical Director to join our newly renovated, well-equipped, established, two hospital system in St. Louis and O'Fallon, MO.
Our highly qualified team delivers compassionate, comprehensive care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are able to focus solely on emergency medicine as we do not offer primary care. With an in house laboratory, digital radiology, fully equipped surgery suites and an on-call radiologist when needed, we are able to provide efficient treatment for any type of emergency. While we primarily see canine and feline patients, on occasion we treat pocket pets as well.
Our ideal Medical Director candidate must have exceptional leadership skills, as well as set the expectation for overall quality of veterinary medicine and customer service to our clients. The Medical Director will work closely with the Hospital Manager to maintain doctor and support staff scheduling, and effectively lead the hospital toward continued growth.
Both our ER Doctors and Medical Director should to be able to work with animals that are under high levels of stress, evaluate traumatic injuries, perform surgical procedures and work with referring veterinarians when needed. You must have the ability to make life-changing decisions at any moment in a fast-paced environment.
Being named, "one of the best places to live", O'Fallon offers a fun, safe family environment with exceptional school districts and activities. With St. Louis only 40 minutes away, there are beautiful walking and biking trails, shops of all kinds, and fun interactive community events. The St. Louis Zoo and Botanical Gardens are a must see!
We offer a full range of benefits, including insurance, 401k, CE and uniform allowance. We recognize that working hard is balanced by time away from the practice to enjoy friends, fun, and time with family.
