Hanford Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Small Animal Associate Veterinarian. Hanford Veterinary Hospital has been a part of the community of Hanford for 75 years. We have been AAHA accredited since 1972 and the only AAHA accredited hospital in Kings County. Three years ago we moved into a new, 8,000 square foot, state of the art facility with room for expansion that is open Monday through Friday. This facility allows us to provide emergency services during normal operating hours, as well as, soft tissue, orthopedic, and dental surgery. In house IDEXX lab equipment and ultrasound is available to allow for advanced diagnostics. Veterinarians at our practice routinely manage complex internal medicine, cardiac, and dermatology cases. Veterinarians also have the ability to utilize laser therapy and cryotherapy. We have 5 veterinarians employed and a support staff of over 30 employees. We are willing to provide mentorship to new graduates and encourage graduates to seek further development in their particular areas of interest. Our town is supported by a strong agricultural based economy and the nearby Lemoore Naval Air station which will house the new F-35C. We are located in the San Joaquin Valley of California and conveniently only 45 minutes from the Fresno-Yosemite International airport. The cost of living in our part of California is a lot less than you are thinking and new graduates can enjoy a great quality of life. Skiing, surfing, Yosemite, and the Giant Sequoias are all within a few hours’ drive of our hospital.
