The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the national not-for-profit association established in 1863 that represents over 89,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Digital Services & Solutions (DSS) team located at our Headquarters office in Schaumburg, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of IT Infrastructure and Support, this is a unique position that combines administrative, project, and operational support to the Digital Services & Solutions (DSS) Division. The Administrative Assistant will provide general office coordination and administrative assistance for the DSS Division including meeting logistics, maintaining DSS inventory, tracking and processing invoices/expenses, and properly recording data. The position will act as staff coordinator for all Committee/Council data maintenance and change documentation in the Association Management System. The Administrative Assistant will also assist users with basic questions related to electronic meetings, and will be responsible for developing and maintaining user documentation including preparation of user manuals, teaching tools, FAQ’s and help files.
