Lincoln Memorial University’s College of Veterinary Medicine (LMU-CVM) invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine (Course Coordinator) at our Orange Park, Florida campus.
This faculty role is ideal for a veterinarian with a passion for curriculum integration, student learning, and academic collaboration who is interested in shaping veterinary education within a growing college of veterinary medicine. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating course delivery across pre-clinical and clinical coursework while contributing to teaching, scholarly activity, and service.
Role Responsibilities & Structure
Faculty appointed to this position are expected to contribute across teaching, research/scholarly activity, and service, consistent with university expectations and the mission of LMU-CVM.
Primary responsibilities include:
Coordinating veterinary medicine course delivery, including development, integration, and assessment of pre-clinical and clinical coursework
Teaching within the veterinary medicine curriculum, with emphasis on integrated learning and outcomes-based education
Collaborating with faculty to ensure curricular alignment, continuity, and quality
Participating in research or scholarly activity appropriate to academic rank and professional interests
Engaging in service activities that support the College, University, profession, and broader community
Academic rank at hire (Assistant or Associate Professor) will be determined based on qualifications and experience in accordance with university policies.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree
Eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree, residency training, or specialty board certification in a relevant discipline
Previous teaching experience in an academic setting
Veterinary clinical experience
Experience with course design, curriculum integration, or course coordination in a veterinary medicine program
Demonstrated record of research, scholarly activity, or professional contributions
