Position Overview
Lincoln Memorial University–College of Veterinary Medicine at Orange Park (LMU-OPCVM) seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine & Director of Clinical Skills. This faculty leadership role is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving the clinical skills curriculum to enhance students’ practical competencies.
The position integrates teaching, administration, and leadership of the Clinical Skills section, including curriculum integration, model-based simulation and training, assessment design, faculty development, and delivery of clinical skills curriculum.
Academic rank upon hire will be determined in accordance with university policies administered by the LMU Office of Academic Affairs. Scholarly activity is expected of all faculty members. Prior evidence of interest and experience in research is an asset, and mentorship in research activity will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the clinical skills curriculum development, integration, and delivery across the veterinary program
Create instructional resources, simulations, and assessment tools aligned with curricular goals
Oversee model-based simulation and scenario learning to foster student clinical decision-making
Implement and lead Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs)
Mentor and evaluate Clinical Skills faculty and staff
Participate in College and University committees, accreditation efforts, and reporting
Engage in scholarly activity consistent with the mission of LMU-OPCVM
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or equivalent)
Eligibility for veterinary licensure in the State of Florida
Minimum of five (5) years of veterinary clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree and/or specialty board certification in a relevant area
Experience in academic teaching or administrative leadership
Demonstrated record of scholarship and innovation in veterinary education
