Thompson & Associates is searching for a veterinarian to join our currently 4 doctor team. We are an independently owned, equine exclusive, full service ambulatory practice located in Cumming, GA, 45 minutes North of Atlanta.

Dr. Todd Thompson, practice owner, has 38 years of experience in veterinary medicine, and built Thompson & Associates to deliver exceptional service that emphasizes compassionate care, high quality medicine, strong mentorship, and a genuinely positive team culture.  

Our practice is built on collaboration and support. Whether you’re a new graduate looking for hands-on mentorship or an experienced veterinarian hoping to shape your role around your professional interests, Thompson & Associates is willing to help you grow in the direction that interests you most.  

Dr. Thompson's goal is to support our team by prioritizing team member input, engagement, and work-life balance. We hold weekly team meetings to ensure collaboration within our team and to provide great continuity of care among the doctors. We have a strong commitment to mentorship and continuing education. Emergency on-call duty is shared between 4 veterinarians and veterinarians receive 100% of the emergency fees. We host 1-2 interns yearly, who cover weekend on call. Two universities are nearby for quick referrals and collaboration with specialists.

Our caseload encompasses horses of all breeds and disciplines and consists of preventative and emergency care, sports medicine, podiatry, acupuncture, chiropractic, internal medicine, and limited reproduction.

What we are looking for:

• A veterinarian passionate about equine medicine and dedicated to providing excellent patient care and client service
• Someone who can share the team's vision of a collaborative approach to equine medicine with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
• A veterinarian who values a positive team culture and wants to be part of a practice that invests in its people
• DVM or equivalent and the ability to obtain a GA veterinary license

Compensation package includes:

• ProSal 30%
• In 2025 our doctor's salaries ranged from $115,000 to $175,000
