- Associate Veterinarian - Small animal community practice
Description
We’re searching for a full-time associate Veterinarian to join our West Hills network of small animal clinics on Long Island's North Shore.
This position offers the flexibility to choose your clinic home at Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic or Oyster Bay Animal Hospital, allowing you to find the perfect fit among our well-established community practice locations.
Our teams collaborate between sites with fully-integrated medical records for emergency cases and advanced specialty case referrals. The West Hills family of practices includes 7 locations on Long Island:
- West Hills Animal Hospital & Emergency Center, our 24/7 hybrid GP-ER hospital, in Huntington
- Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care, our specialty referral practice, in Huntington
- Oyster Bay Animal Hospital in Oyster Bay
- Locust Valley Veterinary Clinic in Locust Valley
- Court Square Animal Hospital in Long Island City
- West Hills North Veterinary Clinic in Huntington
- Station Plaza Veterinary Group in Glen Head

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an AVMA accredited university, or equivalent
- Active veterinarian license or license-eligible to practice in New York
- Experience in companion animal wellness and preventive care medicine
- Experience and interest in performing general surgery and/or general dentistry procedures
- A commitment to the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and relevant credentials with an annual base salary range of $135,000 - $190,000 plus a percentage of production, with additional compensation components which may be included such as sign-on bonus and other pay incentives. Base salary range for full-time employment, adjusted for part-time.
