Full or part time General Practice Associate Veterinarian - will work in Outpatient Health and Wellness, Puppy and Kitten Programs, working up cases with Problems (Diagnostics on site include Laboratory; Imaging [Radiography - Whole Body and Dental Digital; Ultrasound - hand held POCUS as well as a full size console system]; Surgical [exploratory and biopsy via laparotomy or laparoscopy; biopsy or cytology assessments of masses or lesions]); Surgery - routine spay/neuter, laparoscopic OVE, assisted cryptorchidectomy, assisted gastropexy; Dentistry; Canine reproductive services (your involvement would be primarily with c-sections, one practitioner on staff has the interest to develop and provide other relevant services). Includes client education and case discussion/updates; some leadership work; and support of as well as being supported by and part of Team LVVS. Hours the team covers are 8 am to 8 pm daily (new overnight cases are referred out), with overnight staff to care for hospitalized patients and ready the hospital for the next day. Emergency and Veterinary specialty services are available via established relationships. Developing areas of interest is encouraged. Schedules are designed to be equitable and provide enough time away from the practice to relax and recharge. There is plenty of interesting work and several colleagues in the practice to collaborate with. It is a fantastic practice for the right people, and Northern Vermont is its own type of paradise.
Requirements
DVM degree or equivalent (we have DVMs, VMDs, and MVBs currently in the group), and a license to practice Veterinary Medicine in Vermont.
