Lakeview Animal Hospital is a family-owned veterinary practice proudly serving the Pikesville/Baltimore community since August 2024. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join our team. Our full-service hospital offers comprehensive wellness and preventive care, urgent care, surgery (including advanced surgical services), dentistry, and advanced diagnostic services. We are committed to building long-term relationships with our clients and providing thoughtful, individualized care to every patient.

Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
Active Maryland veterinary license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA and CDS registration.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a passion for client education and relationship-building.
Professional demeanor and commitment to respectful, collaborative interactions with clients and team members.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds independently and assist with lifting heavier patients as needed.

Requirements
Essential Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments for canine and feline patients across all life stages.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions using appropriate diagnostic testing, clinical judgment, and evidence-based medicine.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, clearly communicating recommendations, risks, and alternatives to pet owners.
Interpret laboratory results, radiographs, ultrasound findings, and other diagnostic data to guide patient care.
Perform routine and advanced surgical procedures including spays, neuters, soft tissue surgery, and dental procedures, as skill level allows.
Prescribe medications and therapeutic diets in accordance with medical standards and regulatory requirements.
Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, behavior, parasite control, and longterm disease management.
Provide compassionate guidance and medical support for end-of-life care, including quality-of-life assessments and euthanasia services.
Collaborate closely with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely medical records in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
Participate in ongoing case discussions, mentorship opportunities, and continuing education to support professional growth.
Uphold veterinary medical ethics, safety standards, and hospital protocols at all times.
