Livewell Animal Hospitals are start-up hospitals built in partnership between Mission Pet Health and Founding Veterinarians.
As a Founding DVM, you can shape, launch, and lead a fully funded hospital built around your medical passions and your community’s needs.
The hospitals are designed to reflect the vision of their founders—not a cookie-cutter template—with a concierge-level commitment to individualized, high-quality care. You’ll be supported every step of the way, but empowered to practice medicine the way you have always dreamed of!
Each Livewell location is carefully selected based on strong demographic, market, and growth data—to give the Founding DVM and hospital the best chance at long-term success.

We are seeking exceptional leaders for the following locations:
Livewell Animal Hospital of Roseville
- The 3200-square-foot general practice hospital will be located in the newly constructed Freedom Point Development at 4180 Thrive Drive and is easily accessible from Highway 65. It is estimated to open in August 2025
Livewell Animal Hospital Anatolia
- This general practice hospital is estimated to open in Q3 2025 in the Anatolia Marketplace in Rancho Cordova. The hospital will be located in a high-traffic intersection and adjacent to Sacramento's #1 employment center, Prospect Park, and the new Sundridge Specific Plan approved for over 20k new homes. It is estimated to open in September 2025

Requirements
Founding Lead Veterinarian Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of California
- 2+ years of experience as a veterinarian required
- Leadership/management experience is a plus
- Have the ability to lead the team through a variety of cases
- Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
- Compassionate team player who can uphold a great reputation with clients
- Comfortable providing (and teaching associate veterinarians) general surgery and dentistry procedures
- Build a strong client-first and collaborative practice culture
- Hire hospital staff to include hospital manager, veterinary technician, and other hospital support staff in partnership with SVP talent acquisition and operational support teams
- Monitor associate doctor performance and stay up-to-date with changes in veterinary medicine through continuing education
- Assist in developing the paraprofessional team to deliver quality care and exceptional client service
- Ensure all staff treat clients and patients with care and respect.
- Partner with the Hospital Manager in managing hospital financial performance
- Positively represent the hospital in the professional and local community
