Chestnut Ridge Animal Clinic is a well established, privately owned, small animal clinic in Central New York. We are growing and looking for a veterinarian to join our team full or part time. We have made updates to the clinic and provide compassionate care to our clients and their pets. We are focused on client education and providing quality pet care. We are one of the only remaining privately owned practices in the area. Central NY is beautiful with ample hiking and water activities. Owasco Lake provides an amazing place to swim, boat and fish. There is a small town feel while having big city amenities a short drive away.

We are really looking for a team player who wants to help the clinic grow and work in a relaxed and supportive environment. Experience preferred but not required. We are very open to mentoring a new or recent graduate. We have an amazing support staff including a licensed veterinary technician. Our team really enjoys working together and making veterinary medicine the best it can be!

Requirements

The ideal candidate would perform surgery (soft tissue, dental cleanings/surgical extractions) and see wellness and sick appointments. The schedule is flexible. No weekends, Saturdays or emergency/on-call. Job responsibilities include those expected of an associate veterinarian. We have in-house IDEXX labs, digital x-ray as well as digital dental x-ray.  We just purchased a Companion laser and are excited to add that to our treatment options! We use the Covetrus Pulse cloud based management software and are virtually paperless.
