Richland Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Medical Director (DVM/VMD) to lead our growing small animal hospital in the heart of Washington's Tri-Cities region. This is an outstanding opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys practicing high-quality medicine while helping shape hospital culture, mentor doctors, and drive continued growth within a well-established community practice.

Hospital Overview
Open: Monday-Friday
Schedule: 4 days per week (negotiable)

- Small animal general practice
- Companion animal medicine and surgery
- Occasional pocket pets/exotics
- Preventive and wellness care
- Dentistry
- Diagnostic imaging
- Urgent care and same-day appointments during regular business hours
- No after-hours emergency responsibilities
- No on-call requirements
- Local 24/7 emergency hospital available for overnight case transfer

Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris (VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in Washington
- Strong foundation in small animal medicine and surgery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and client service
- Passion for collaboration, mentorship, and team development
Preferred
- Previous leadership experience as a Medical Director, Chief of Staff, Lead Veterinarian, or mentor within a multi-doctor practice
- Interest in hospital growth, doctor development, and medical quality initiatives
- Experience performing a broad range of soft tissue surgical procedures
- Desire to help shape the future of a growing veterinary hospital

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
