Are you a graduate veterinarian looking to advance your career in One Health and Veterinary Public Health? We invite you to apply for our One Health/Veterinary Public Health Residency program, starting on August 24, 2026. This three-year residency offers a unique opportunity to gain experience, service, and training, to help prepare you to sit for the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (ACVPM) board specialization exam.
Program Highlights:
- Comprehensive Training: Engage in diverse experiential activities to gain broad training and applied experience in veterinary public health practice.
- Networking Opportunities: Build essential networks and develop key leadership skills to excel in the veterinary public health workforce.
- Advanced Education: Complete a Master of Public Health degree through the University of Arizona College of Public Health in the first two years concurrent with the residency.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Acceptance to or current enrollment in the Master of Public Health program through the University of Arizona College of Public Health, concurrent with the residency program
- Valid US driver’s license or ability to obtain one within the first six months of residency
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience in private practice, corporate, or government settings in veterinary medicine, veterinary public health, and/or animal health and welfare
