NOW HIRING – Full-Time Practice Manager
Pinellas Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, motivated, and people-focused Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of our busy 7-doctor, AAHA-accredited small animal practice, supporting a team of 35 total employees, including doctors.
We have proudly served our community for over 50 years and are an independent veterinary hospital. As a non-corporate practice, you’ll have the freedom to collaborate closely with our owners to cultivate, strengthen, and grow our culture from within.
Position Overview
The Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of the hospital and works closely with medical leadership and ownership to ensure efficient workflow, strong financial performance, and a healthy, supportive work environment. The ideal candidate is an organized, confident leader who values autonomy, accountability, and team connection.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily hospital operations, workflow, and client service standards
Lead, coach, and support staff while fostering a positive workplace culture
Manage hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and employee relations
Oversee expenses, KPIs, and vendor relationships
Support client communication and assist with conflict resolution when needed
Ensure compliance with AAHA standards, hospital protocols, and regulations
Maintain clear communication through meetings and written updates
Qualifications
Veterinary practice management or leadership experience preferred
Strong understanding of veterinary hospital operations and staffing
Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with veterinary practice management software; IDEXX Cornerstone experience strongly preferred
Ability to lead with empathy, professionalism, and consistency
