Description
The Adams County SPCA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated veterinarian to join our team! Do you want a low stress, mainly surgical position in a privately funded community shelter? Then look no further!
-Typical work schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 9:00AM–3:00PM (4 day weekends every week!)
-Perform spay/neuter surgeries for community pets through our low-cost program and community feral cat TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program support
-Ensure all in-house, to be adopted, shelter animals are provided excellent medical and surgical care
-Minimal client interaction — you focus solely on animal care, not the public
-No Evenings, emergencies or on-call
-Hourly starting pay is competitive and based on experience
-This is strictly a part-time, hourly compensation position, no health insurance, 401K, or additional benefits are available through the non-profit

Requirements
-Must hold or be able to obtain an unrestricted veterinary license in Pennsylvania
-Must be eligible for DEA licensure and USDA accreditation
-Patience, empathy, compassion and understanding for both animals and people
-Ability to work well as part of a team
-Confidence in your surgical abilities is a must and prior high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN) experience is ideal
