We are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join the team as we expand our schedule to better serve our local community.
We provide a full spectrum of services:
- Wellness & Preventative Care
- Chronic Disease Management
- Urgent care (Emergency Care when schedule permits)
- Comprehensive Soft Tissue & Dental surgery
- Therapy Laser
- Digital Radiography (Standard & Dental) & Ultrasound
- Fully-capable in-house Idexx Laboratory
- Separate entrance & exit for infectious cases

Position Overview:
Whole Health Veterinary Care is searching for a Small Animal (cat & dog) Associate Veterinarian in order to develop & expand our privately owned practice and better serve our local community.
Associate Veterinarian Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries.
- Seeks education in and maintains skills related to Low Stress Handling and Fear Free techniques.
- Manages chronic health issues with required monitoring and medication management.
- Prevents and manages any/all state recognized zoonotic/reportable diseases.
- Documents actions by completing and updating forms, reports, and animal records and reporting diseases to public health officials.
- Promotes health of animals by advising animal owners about sanitation measures, feeding, and preventative care.

Anticipated New Hospital Hours:
Monday & Tuesday - Thursday & Friday 7:30AM-7:00PM
- Support staff present at 7:00AM
- Admissions begin at 7:30AM
Wednesday – Closed, emergencies referred to local emergency clinic
Saturday 8AM-4PM
Sunday – Closed, emergencies referred to local emergency clinic
Requirements
Requirements - We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school
- Is licensed or eligible to be licensed in Maryland
- Communicates compassionately with pet owners and team members
- Values continuing education, collaboration, and a high standard of care
- Respects and values client relationships and the care they give their pets
- Has surgical proficiency in core soft tissue and dental procedures (or ready to learn & grow)
- Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply
