Description
The part-time (24-30 hours per week) Veterinarian will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical care, including diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and prevention. The role requires leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with dedicated medical and administrative staff. Upon completion of our new medical facility, this position is likely to become full-time and include a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
Perform physical examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop comprehensive treatment plans for cats (and a limited number of dogs).
Conduct surgical procedures including high-volume spay/neuter, soft tissue, and select orthopedic surgeries.
Prescribe and administer medications, vaccinations, and preventive care.
Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and compliant patient medical records.
Provide medical oversight and establish/implement standard operating procedures.
Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet guardians regarding care plans and outcomes.
Mentor veterinary staff and ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
Participate in community outreach, education, and professional development.
