At Prettyboy Veterinary Hospital, we are a hardworking team offering compassionate, high quality care to the canines and felines in the Northern Baltimore County area. We are an AAHA-accredited practice that has been in business since 1996. We have recently been recognized as one of America’s best animal hospitals in 2026. We have an amazing team and are seeking more veterinarians to join our team. We are looking forward to adding an experienced veterinarian to our team, or to mentoring a new graduate. Our current doctors look forward to collaborating on cases, teaching as well as learning from our new veterinarian. Both of these vets offer expertise in different facets of veterinary medicine. We understand that the transition from school to general practice can be challenging, and we are committed to supporting new and recent graduates with mentorship and many learning opportunities. While all of that equipment will make diagnosis easier, what is really special about PBVH is our staff, clients, and patients. You will be supported by two veterinarians that each have over 20 years of clinical practice.
Our community
Northern Baltimore county is a semi-rural area that offers a peaceful place to live with the proximity to Baltimore City, Washington DC, and Philadelphia. A short ride will also get you to the great beaches of Delaware and Maryland. Within two miles of the clinic are reservoirs offering great fishing, kayaking, and hiking experiences. The local rail trail offers both running or biking. Downhill skiing opportunities are within 45 minutes. The Hereford Zone offers one the premier school districts in Maryland. Multiple 24-hour Veterinary Clinics and referral/specialist help support our client’s needs.
Position Highlights
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will work alongside experienced doctors and technicians to address wellness visits and sick-patient workups as well as soft-tissue, orthopedic and dentistry surgery. Our goal is to help you strengthen your skills in a practice setting all while helping our clients get the best medical care for their pets.
What We Offer

Starting Base Salary:
$110, 000- $130,000 (base salary) and/or ProSal to further increase your income!

What We Are Looking For
You will be a great fit for our practice if you:
Hold a DVM or VMD degree (new graduates encouraged to apply)
Are eligible for or currently licensed to practice in Maryland
Have strong communication, a positive attitude and teamwork skills
Have or ability to obtain a DEA license
Have a strong desire to learn, teach and grow as a veterinarian
