River’s Edge Veterinary Hospital is a single owner, private practice, small animal clinic in beautiful southern Illinois. We are looking to add either a full or part-time Veterinarian with an eye towards a future ownership opportunity within two years. New graduates are welcome to apply and mentorship is available. Qualifications

Graduate or upcoming graduate of an accredited college of veterinary medicine.

License or ability to obtain license to practice in the state of Illinois.

Current citizen or permanent visa holder already residing in the US.

Pay is negotiable and commensurate with experience but beginning at $100,000 for new grads.

Duties

Clinic hours are currently 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday by appointment only (excluding emergencies).

Emergency Call will generally be one night every two weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks. (Call is shared with other local private practices)

Currently providing care to cats and dogs only, however new hire may expand coverage to species they are comfortable seeing.

Near Shawnee National Forest with hundreds of miles of equestrian trails and hiking opportunities, as well as 30 minutes from Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, and Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.

Across the river from Paducah, KY. A lovely small city with a progressive downtown arts district, shopping mall, theater, and many locally owned restaurants and shops.

2 hours away from Nashville and 2.5 from St Louis keeps the wider world within easy reach without bank-breaking living costs.
