Mentorship for New Graduates
New graduates receive structured, hands-on support designed to build confidence and independence at a comfortable pace. Appointments start with longer time blocks to support your learning and confidence, gradually moving toward 20-minute visits as you gain experience. Technicians handle many routine appointments, and same-day emergencies are seen only as the schedule allows. You’ll begin with a lighter schedule, seeing one to two cases per hour, with time set aside for discussion. As you gain experience, your caseload will increase based on your readiness and comfort level.
Mentorship is led by experienced doctors who provide ongoing guidance, with at least monthly check-ins during your first year. Collaboration is a core part of the culture here, and you’ll have open access to multiple DVMs for case discussions and advice.
Surgical mentorship begins with spays and neuters, progressing to dentals, mass removals, and soft tissue procedures as you build confidence. Orthopedic exposure is available but never required.
Throughout your first year, you’ll receive regular feedback through quarterly check-ins and continued support from a team that values your growth, autonomy, and success.
