Job Summary
Animal Medical Center of Itasca is seeking an experienced veterinarian or new graduate to join our collaborative 6 DVM team. This position is full time or flexible part time. Associate veterinarians will be responsible for providing high quality veterinary care and customer service. Our practice offers a diverse caseload ranging from wellness exams and standard surgical procedures to complex medical cases and emergent care.

Established and independently owned for 35 years, we provide comprehensive veterinary care for small animals. Our facility
Our animal hospital is over 5,000 sqft with a recently renovated lobby and 6 exam rooms. Separate surgical and dental suites. Dedicated doctor office space and a boarding facility.
We utilize the latest veterinary diagnostic equipment including:
Ultrasound - new machine purchased 2024, allowing abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography
Digital radiography including dental radiographs
Dental and oral surgery equipment - new machine purchased 2025
In house laboratory
Partnered with Antech Diagnostics

We are a supportive, experienced and collaborative healthcare team. Most of our veterinarians and support staff members have been with us for over 10 years allowing for ample mentorship opportunities. We value our team members' work life balance by providing a dedicated week day off, closed on Sunday and closing at noon on Saturday. Very flexible time off that team members are encouraged to utilize. As a privately owned business, all doctors are free to practice how they want and do not have to work with rigid corporate policies.

Requirements
Ability to provide general veterinary care for small animals, educate pet parents and direct team members
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to perform general veterinary surgeries including sterilizations, dentals, mass removals, etc
DVM or VMD degree required
Illinois and DEA licensure in good standing or ability to obtain licenses
