We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Criticalist in the expanding Emergency and Critical Care Department that currently includes 1 DACVECC, two doctors who are residency trained in E/CC, and 11 full-time emergency staff doctors. Schedule will include fifteen shifts per month including rotating weekend shifts.
The applicant should possess excellent communication skills, a focus on teamwork and collaboration and an interest in building client relationships.
Caring for in-hospital patients in the ICU and Progressive Care Unit
Collaborating with specialists, emergency doctors and general practitioners to ensure the best care for all patients
Mentoring rotating interns
Communicating with clients
Communicating with referring veterinarians
Training and mentoring support staff
Attending and participating in cage-side and didactic rounds, in-house CE and bi-weekly urgent care meetings
