Breathitt Veterinary Center is looking to hire an energetic enthusiastic Anatomic Pathologist to fill a position as Pathologist for a veterinary diagnostic laboratory in western Kentucky.
Responsibilities: Perform necropsies on animal carcasses and report appropriate findings. Interpret histopathology slides of necropsy submissions and report findings. Conduct appropriate research and publish findings. Provide consultations with veterinarians. Discuss cases with farmers when animals are submitted for necropsy. Provide instruction as required, for Animal Health Technology curriculum. Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written skills). Ability to work with a wide variety of people. Comply with Quality Management System. Perform special projects as determined by Head of Pathology.

Qualifications: DVM or equivalent. MS OR two years residency training in anatomic pathology with an emphasis on diagnostics. Graduate of an AVMA accredited college of veterinary medicine. Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills are vital.
Preferred: Experience in veterinary practice and veterinary diagnostics.
