The American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible to achieve AASV’s mission and objectives through his/her leadership and management of the organization. He/She reports to the Board of Directors, serves the membership and supports volunteer leadership groups. The Executive Director has overall strategic and operational responsibility for AASV’s staff, financial management, programs, annual conference, and organizational growth. Responsibilities include: advocating for the interests of the swine veterinary profession in external organizations; collaborating with all swine related organizations; keeping AASV and membership current on national and international issues; and leading internal activities to foster the success of AASV members.
Position is a full-time employee.
Candidate must be a licensed veterinarian from an accredited university.
Current or prior AASV membership is a plus.
