Newport Hills is a fast paced, high volume walk in practice, with a small practice feel. We provide our clients with a state of the art dental experience. Including a brand new dental suite with wall mounted digital dental x-ray (completion 2018). We preform a wide range of surgical procedures from TPLO's to spays and neuters. The hospital is open until 9:00pm most week nights and open weekends. Newport Hills provides a flexible rotating schedule, which includes a week off every seven weeks.

About the Hospital:
The Animal Hospital of Newport Hills has been operating for over forty years. We are an eight doctor practice. Our veterinarians have anywhere from two to twenty years experience. In the upcoming year we will have a newly built dental suite! We have digital x-ray and digital dental x-ray capabilities. We are able to handle complicated medical cases and provide hospitalization in-house. We have the ability to have a traveling radiologist perform ultrasounds upon request. This year we were able to add state of the art Therapy Cold Laser treatments. We pride ourselves on offering new options of care for our clients and continuing to advance our practice.

Newport Hills is located in the affluent community of Newcastle. We are fifteen minutes from Bellevue and thirty minutes from Seattle. We are blessed to be in a beautiful suburb that gives us the convenience of being by a big city, without having to worry about the traffic or down side of city life. We have a beautiful park within walking distance of the clinic and we are located on a popular route into Bellevue, which gives us great visibility.
In addition to the responsibilities outlined below, the Associate Veterinarian is an invaluable member of the hospital team who works directly with a Managing Doctor and supporting medical staff. This individual advances the quality of medicine in the practice and provides exceptional client service to our clients and patients.
Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns
Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Works collaboratively with hospital team members.
Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
Manages time and tasks appropriately.
Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
