Busy equine veterinary practice needing a self-motivated, critical thinker who has excellent communication/customer service skills and the ability to plan and prioritize. The right candidate must have good analytical skills, high integrity, and the willingness to be a team player.
The practice manager is responsible for over-seeing all administrative activities to facilitate the smooth, efficient flow of operations.
Duties include but not limited to: Human Resources (staff oversight, manage new hire and termination reporting, management of PTO, maintain confidential employee records); Operations (manage the daily flow of the office by addressing problems that arise with employees, customers, or IT issues, maintain and manage HR policies and procedures, assist with customer service/ payment issues; assist with electronic medical record management, assist with ordering and inventory management, and process medical dictations; Financial Management (A/R management including collections, manage A/P, manage payroll hours, monitor and update fee schedules), .
Equine veterinary experience preferred, medical or veterinary experience required, and previous management experience required. A bachelor’s degree and/or masters is preferred. Medical transcription a plus. Competitive salary.
