We have two small animal hospitals located in the suburbs north of Atlanta, GA, and are looking to hire veterinarians at both locations. Our hospitals are privately owned, not corporate, so you have the freedom to practice your medicine your way!
Our mission is to provide exceptional veterinary care and the best possible service to our clients. We are not a shot clinic. Our doctors treat a wide range of medical and surgical cases, and our clients trust us to offer excellent healthcare.
We are looking for:
A full time associate who is willing to practice enthusiastically, be a compatible part of the team, train and guide other team members, open to learning, and treat patients and clients with the utmost compassion and professionalism.
Our current staff is 4 doctors, 2 at each hospital. We are generally well staffed with veterinary assistants and each hospital has a registered technician who handles surgeries. Each hospital has a practice manager, and both hospitals are overseen by hospital administrators.
Dentistry: We have digital dental radiography. Our dental unit is the IM3 Deluxe, and our surgery technician and assistants are well trained in its use.
Ultrasound: Our ultrasound is set up for abdominal and cardiac.
Surgery: We use the Surgivet for monitoring, and heated surgery tables. Virtually all patients get IV fluids during surgery, Cerenia injections prior to surgery, Sevoflurane, and have bloodwork done on the day of the procedure or at a preop appointment several days before.
Radiology: We use digital radiology and have ability to send radiographs to Vetmedstat or nearby surgery specialists if needed.
Preventative care: Our vaccine and parasite control protocols are based on recommendations from AAHA, AAFP, and CAPC. We use Purevax for cats.
Structure: We have written standards of care with regards to parasite treatment and control, vaccinations, surgery drugs, and a few others. Our doctors meet quarterly.
Behavioral Health: Our hospitals are very involved in taking care of our patients’ mental health needs. We have large groups of playcare dogs, and behavioral dog trainers who provide individual work with patients and clients, puppy training, and day to day help with dogs that may be intolerant of procedures like nail trims.
Laser Therapy: We have a Class 4 therapy laser that is used for pain management and wound healing.
