Description
What if the case you’d normally refer out was the one you got to see through yourself?
At Countryside Veterinary Center, one morning might start with a wellness exam and end with a TPLO, a walk-in urgent care, and a rehab patient back on the underwater treadmill. Just 20 minutes from downtown Chicago, we’re a general practice with the caseload, tools, and team to work up cases most GPs send elsewhere, then hand off to a certified rehab doctor down the hall to see them all the way through recovery.
The Opportunity:
A deep, varied caseload spanning general practice, urgent care, and daytime emergencies
Full medical autonomy, with the freedom to work up complex cases in-house rather than refer them out
Flexible scheduling, with most doctors working 34 hours per week
At least 3-5 years of experience as a DVM in a small animal GP or urgent care setting is required for this role
The Resources:
A team of 8 collaborative DVMs and two dedicated hospital managers, so doctors can stay focused on medicine
Two surgical suites supporting orthopedic procedures, including TPLOs, fracture repairs, and FHOs
Full in-house diagnostics: digital and dental x-rays, ultrasound, echo, EKG, and IDEXX lab
A dedicated rehabilitation service with therapy laser, hydrotherapy treadmill, acupuncture, and chiropractic care, led by a certified rehab DVM and tech
The Lifestyle:
Stroll walkable downtown La Grange packed with 30+ independent restaurants, boutiques, a historic theatre, and a seasonal farmers market
Explore 16+ miles of the Salt Creek Trail winding past Brookfield Zoo, plus nearby preserves for hiking, biking, and paddling
Hop an express Metra train and reach downtown Chicago in about 25 minutes
ProSal Compensation & Benefits:
Starting salary of $125,000-$150,000 plus production bonuses
401(k) with company match
Access to CE courses (dentistry, ultrasound, surgery, and more) at NVA’s nearby PetOne Training Center in Addison, IL
Professional liability coverage, DEA and state licensing, and VIN membership
PTO, paid CE, and CE/licensing reimbursement
Generous staff pet discounts
Final compensation commensurate with experience, skills, schedule, and scope of services provided
If you’re ready to stop referring out the cases you went to vet school for, let’s talk.
