Pet Emergency Clinic in Greenville, NC, is currently seeking a to add a third full-time after-hours emergency clinician for 10-12 shifts/4 weeks. PEC is a member of the Vets Pets family of NC hospitals.
Why Pet Emergency Clinic:
Pet Emergency Clinic has been locally supported for over a decade. During that time, it has experienced amazing growth and has created a strong presence in Eastern North Carolina.
Located in Greenville, North Carolina, a majority of our clientele works at East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and Vidant Medical Center, the nation’s third largest human trauma center. Greenville is growing and growing fast! With a burgeoning downtown, Greenville is considered the cultural hub of Eastern North Carolina. Enjoy downtown or spend your days kayaking locally on the Tar River. Located in between urban Raleigh and the Crystal Coast, quick trips can be made in either direction to attend a concert or walk on the beach.
PEC has a strong staff able to focus on the shift while having fun along the way. With Idexx blood analyzers, digital radiology, ultrasound, and a Snyder O2 unit all housed in a new building, PEC allows you to treat complicated cases. Being just 90 minutes from NCSU-CVM, referral is an option when needed. Two days a week, PEC is the home of Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital’s surgery and ultrasound service. The DVM colleagues all have 10+ years ER experience with much respect for one another’s practice styles. The relationship with the referring community is strong and collaborative medicine is the mainstay. We enjoy a wonderful relationship with our sister e-clinic just 45 minutes away.

About Vets Pets PA
Vets Pets was founded in 2007 by Dr. Frank Batten, DVM and Steve Thomas. The organization started with two veterinary hospitals founded by Dr. Batten and expanded through hospital purchases, start-ups and expansions. Vets Pets was created to address changing needs in the veterinary industry. Surveys show more veterinarians today are interested in focusing on medical excellence and less interested in managing and owning a business.
Veterinary practices are still primarily comprised of independently owned practitioners who will need to transition management and ownership responsibilities. Our objective is to help transition these hospitals to the new generation of veterinarians and continually improve medical and operational standards.
