1st Pet Veterinary Centers are seeking FT team members to join our Emergency and General Practice teams. GP Techniciansare responsible for caring for our General Practice clients and patients. Rooming patients, obtaining thorough history, taking vital signs, and documenting for appointments. Setup of vaccines or other equipment needed for the appointment is vital. GP Technicians also obtain samples and perform routine lab-work. Use of Fear Free skills are vital as well as excellent communication skills and ability to develop rapport with clients.
GP Assistantsare responsible for assisting GP Technicians in completion of tasks and caring for patients and clients. Ability to properly utilize Fear Free restraint techniques is vital. Good communication with co-works and clients is essential. Must be willing to take direction and be self-motivated to care for tasks as needed. Some rooming of clients/patients may be required.
ICU/EM CVT’sare primarily responsible for tending to the needs and care of hospitalized patients as well as some incoming emergencies. This requires utilization of a high degree of technical skills, triaging, and use of monitoring tools to assess and care for patients with compassion and Fear Free techniques. The ICU nurse maintains continuous communication with veterinarians to ensure that the highest quality patient care is provided. Communication between the day, swing, and night shift is essential.
EM Veterinary Assistantsare primarily responsible for assisting EM/ICU Technicians in caring for the patients and clients. Good communication skills with co-workers and clients are vital. Must be willing to take direction and be self-motivated to care for tasks at hand. Ability to perform lab-work, Fear Free restraint techniques, and basic technical skills is desirable.
