About Central Animal Hospital & Tampa Bay K9 Rehabilitation Center
Central Animal Hospital has been serving the St. Petersburg, Florida, community since the mid-1970's. Dr. Mark Brown joined the veterinarian staff in 1990 and later assumed ownership in 1998. In 2002 the hospital became accredited by AAHA, and houses new state of the art digital Xray, ultrasound, and dental suite. A variety of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries are performed on site, including but not limited to CBLO, fracture repair, laparoscopy, TECA, gastropexy, etc. In 2004, the Tampa Bay K9 Rehabilitation Center opened up in a 500 square foot space inside the hospital, and Dr. Brown obtained his CCRP to serve dogs experiencing arthritis and recovering from orthopedic and spinal surgery. In 2006, Central Animal Hospital on Pinellas Point was established on the opposite side of town, serving the southern St. Petersburg community, and is a gold level cat friendly practice. Both hospitals and the rehab center are growing and we are seeking veterinarians to join our team who wish to continue their professional growth and develop their skill set.
