You will have well trained team members who will allow you to practice veterinary medicine and make substantial a difference in the lives both of pets and people.
The focus of this position is to maintain and improve animal health by diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries. Our Associate Veterinarians are expected to make every effort to help improve the quality of care provided to our patients, as well as provide ongoing medical and surgical assignments to the healthcare team indicating generally what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected in accordance with the hospital policies and procedures. The Associate Veterinarian must take initiative in carrying out recurring assignments independently without specific instructions, but refers deviations, problems, and unfamiliar situations not covered by instructions to the owners for decision or help.
We are a 2-doctor, small animal exclusive practice that specializes in providing compassionate and convenient care for our patients. We recognize the importance of the relationships between humans and animals. We provide many services such as wellness examinations, immunizations, surgery, radiology, an in-house laboratory, boarding, and emergency services.
Requirements in this position include:
Working closely with our clients and their pets
Providing patients with a high level of patient care
Having an interest in dentistry; strong oral surgery skills are preferred
Possessing a broad knowledge of preventive, diagnostic, and clinical veterinary medicine
Using good judgement in patient assessment, diagnostics, and treatment, with ability to identify and communicate this knowledge to team members and clients.
