The Pet Emergency Clinic and Referral Center in Spokane, Washington is seeking a critical care specialist to join our busy and growing emergency and specialty hospital. We are the largest privately-held, doctor-owned emergency and specialty practice in the Inland Northwest.
The emergency medicine department is currently staffed by seven experienced emergency veterinarians and an abundance of fully trained support staff (licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistant, kennel attendants and a full reception core.) The emergency department is currently open on nights, weekends and holidays but will soon be opening 24/7/365. We work closely with and highly value our referring daytime veterinarians in the community.
Several specialty services are housed in the hospital during daytime hours Monday through Friday and include internal medicine, oncology, surgery (Veterinary Surgical Specialists, www.vssspokane.com), radiology (Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging, www.ievi.biz), and clinical pathology. There is a part time dermatologist available every other week (Dermatology for Animals, www.dermatologyforanimals.com), and an extension of Washington State University offers veterinary ophthalmologists and a veterinary dentist located just a few minutes from our clinic.
The hospital has an in-house diagnostic lab, digital radiography and ultrasound. Access to specialist ultrasound, CT, and flexible/rigid endoscopy is available on weekdays. We also have an on-site blood bank.
The Pet Emergency Clinic and Referral Center is located within a brand new facility that won the 2017 VetEcon/360 Design Award for Specialty Hospital of the Year.
We are looking for an individual who seeks to provide exceptional quality medicine and to elevate the medicine we provide as a hospital, is motivated to help build our practice further, and who can help to cultivate positive relationships with our referring community. We value work-life balance and a positive work environment.
We are looking for a full time emergency and critical care specialist. Applicants must be: residency trained, board-eligible, or board-certified in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. Start salary is negotiable but considered highly competitive for the region. We offer full benefits including: dental and health insurance, disability and liability coverage, professional licensing fees, a CE allowance, 401K, paid vacation, and reimbursement for moving expenses.
