We are a busy independent general small animal and equine clinic in suburban Oklahoma looking for confident fun loving associate to work full time or part time in a community practice. Yes, we are a fly over state, BUT we have an airport, an NBA team, civic events like off Broadway shows, and a stellar white water Olympic facility. There is trout fishing in the state, deer and elk hunting in state, of course rodeo and ropings, and we are two hour flight from the beach. Our practice sees a wide range of medical conditions: the spectrum of endocrine disorders, insect borne disease, neoplasia, etc but relatively few parvo and distemper since our clients do follow our preventative care recommendations. We do general surgery: OHE, castrations, ex-lap, cystotomies, and splenectomies. Our candidate needs to have excellent communication skills. We try to teach our clients about pet health and how to keep their pet healthy. We have a team of RVT and veterinary assistants to help make the day easier with digital radiography, IDEXX blood and urine diagnostics, electrocautery, and ultrasound. We have a good working relationship with referral hospitals in the area and can refer for advanced diagnostics, surgery and oncology. The local emergency clinic takes evening calls. Work week is a 4 day week (M-F) and rotating Saturday mornings. Closed on Sunday. 100% health, 401 K with MATCH, continuing education allowance, dues, license fees, vacation days
