Colorado Equine Clinic is a full service equine veterinary hospital located in Roxborough, CO. The practice has been running for 30+ years.
We spend 50% of the time in the hospital with patients and 50% ambulatory at field appointments. We are also available for 24/7 emergencies.
Dr. Barbara Page is the owner of the practice and is also a certified farrier and chiropractor. She focuses on Sports Horse Medicine, soundness, and preventative medicine.
We utilize high-quality diagnostic equipment as well as regenerative medications and therapies.

Colorado Equine Clinic is committed to providing the highest quality medical and surgical care for our patients and compassionate service for clients. Forty percent of the equine workload is lameness/chiropractic/podiatry, 40% wellness, 20% miscellaneous. The small animal load is split 40% surgery and 60% wellness.
Facilities: Colorado Equine Clinic is a 6000 square foot facility located on 35 acres with 1 barn with 5 stalls, a separate isolation barn, 8 paddocks, 1 round pen, 1 outdoor arena, and a 40-foot x 80 foot elevated soundness evaluation pad for prepurchases and soundness evaluation. The main hospital consists of 1 exam room with stocks, an indoor covered exam area with stocks, 1 radiology room, 1 surgical suite with a separate induction/recovery stall, a laboratory with hematology, chemistry, EIA and cytology. Equipment includes a 3-meter video endoscope, 2 digital abdominal/tendon ultrasound, arthroscopic equipment, sevoflurane gas machines, 1 repro ultrasound, 2 portable x-ray units, digital x-ray unit, ECSW therapy, power dental equipment (Power float); 2 fully equipped ambulatory vehicles.

Case Load: 500 in house and 3000 ambulatory cases/year.
An average weekly caseload includes 4 lameness evaluations, 30 ambulatory visits, 1 surgery, 10 wellness check-ups, 3-5 emergencies
Types of cases: The types of cases seen are lameness ( 40%), general medical issues ( 15%); surgery (10%); reproduction (10%), dentistry (25%).
Starting the summer of 2020, we at CEC are looking to add some excellent externs to our team. We are looking for students with a passion for horses and a strong desire to learn. Colorado Equine Clinic is a full-service equine veterinary practice established in 1988. We are passionate about the horse-human bond, offering medical care for horses in the Douglas, Jefferson, Arapahoe, Denver, and Elbert counties.
We recently opened a Small Animal Clinic at our practice in August 2019 allowing us to now be a full-service general practice small animal hospital. We work with cats and dogs to provide advanced, compassionate care using many of the same regenerative medicine techniques that we use with our equine patients.
Colorado Equine Clinic treats horses of all disciplines, levels, and ages. Our veterinarians have special interests in sports medicine, podiatry, and dentistry, and have obtained national certification to provide the alternative modalities of chiropractic, acupuncture, and farriery.
