1st or 2nd year Cornell Veterinary Student
GPA of 2.75 or higher (NOT on academic probation)
Good communication and planning skills required
Fun attitude and optimistic view of Veterinary profession
General duties will focus primarily on companion animal activities and may include (unless prohibited by the university):
Working closely with your MAH Companion/ Livestock Veterinarians on a plan for proposed programs
Coordinating and hosting educational seminars featuring a member of the MAH Professional Services Veterinarian or Sales Representative
Disseminating information to veterinary students by distributing information packets as received from MAH
Answering questions of classmates and faculty regarding MAH
Serving as liaison between members of the teaching/clinical faculty and MAH
Serving as liaison between student clubs and MAH
Developing companion animal programs to enhance MAH’s recognition
Facilitating placement and use of complimentary vaccines in the small animal pharmacy and clinics
Work with the MAH Professional Services Veterinarian to coordinate distribution of MAH products to students, if applicable at the veterinary school
Assisting with special projects as needed
Submitting reports each semester to your MAH Companion Animal representative on previous and upcoming activities
*In return, you will be paid Seven Hundred Fifty Dollars ($750) each semester. You will also gain valuable insider knowledge, industry experience and likely get to participate in special Merck activities.
