Full time job opening for a small animal veterinarian with future buy-in potential

We are looking for a small animal practitioner who wants to join our 8 doctor AAHA accredited mixed animal practice in beautiful, outdoorsy, southern Vermont!  If you're interested in coming to a place where you can settle down, put down roots and grow, then this is the place for you.  We are a co-op doctor-owned practice with an amazing staff.  We have 2 locations, one right outside Brattleboro, and another 30 minutes north in Rockingham.  The Rockingham location will be moving to a new, state of the art facility in early 2021!

Offerings

• Relocation bonus $5,000 as well as $5,000 sign on bonus paid after 6 months of work.
• Ultrasound, as well as a nice CR radiograph system, and full digital dental x-ray.   
• In-house IDEXX blood and urine machines.
• 24 hour emergency/specialty hospitals are available for referral in the area.
• Opportunity for pocket pet/exotic/avian/equine work if desired (but not required).
• Chiropractic and acupuncture certification beneficial, but not required. 

The finer details

• Mentorship is encouraged, and available for those who need it, as there are 3 doctors on during week days
• Four, 8 hour days/week with 2 weekend days on duty each month.  Appointments end an hour prior to shift end (time for notes and call backs!).
• Pay is salaried per diem, including 1 weekend a month on duty, plus an emergency fee for each case seen on the weekend worked. 
• Paid vacation, health insurance stipend, dues/licenses/DEA/liability insurance covered, CE stipend and paid CE days. 
• Potential for lodging, as there is currently an empty apartment associated with the clinic.  
• Evening hours, as well as weekend appointments from 8am-12pm Saturday.
• Urgent hours are 8am-6pm Saturday (appts booked 9-12) and Sunday, with an assistant available.

Start-date would be as soon as possible.  Our ideal candidate is experienced and interested in potential buy-in for co-ownership, but we will consider the right new graduate, or a long-term associate.  A strong interest in surgery, including dentistry, is desired. 

Both locations have easy access to the highway for travel, and traffic is not an issue.
