We are looking for a feline loving full or part-time veterinarian at established 4 doctor cat only practice in Norwalk, on the Connecticut shoreline. Fifty miles north of Manhattan, our town is full of culture and opportunity for work/life balance. We have created a modern, 5000 sq ft facility that is AAHA accredited with paperless records, DR digital radiology, CBC, chemistry, electrolytes, oxygen cage, endoscope, video otoscope, color doppler ultrasound, Dentalaire dental station, digital dental radiology, therapy laser, Hot Dog Warming Blankets and Bair Hugger, Doppler, Bionet anesthesia monitors and Heska IV pumps.
There is ample opportunity for collaboration and support, but we also trust in allowing our doctors autonomy to practice their own medicine. We believe in a team delegated approach and are fortunate to have skilled and intelligent team members, allowing doctors to focus on medicine. Most of our support staff have been at A Cat’s Place for years, and all are passionate about patient care and strive for a fear free experience. We also have three local 24 hour speciality hospitals that allow for referral and support.
The base salary, 90-115K plus production based compensation, is negotiable. We also offer excellent benefits including 4 week PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401K, paid CE license and standard dues, and a generous CE stipend. Happy associates, quality of life, and long term relationships are strongly encouraged.
*A Cat's Place is privately owned and affiliated with Strawberry Hill Animal Hospital which is a short walk away. Both hospitals share the same database which allows our clients that also have dogs to get the same level of care for the rest of their pet family. Because of this relationship, we can also tailor this opportunity to allow for sharing employment between both hospitals if you are interested in working with dogs as well.*
Strawberry Hill Animal Hospital was founded in 1987 by Dr. Edward Kurose. Dr. David Santisi joined the practice in 1993, and helped to create A Cat's Place, our AAHA accredited feline exclusive hospital, in 1997. Although we have expanded, our attention continues to focus on connecting with our clients and providing the highest level of care for their pets. Our veterinarians are given autonomy to diagnose and treat patients as they see fit. At the same time we are glad to be available to consult or lend a hand with challenging medical or surgical cases. Our goal is to continue to offer the most advanced patient care and equipment while strengthening the bond between our veterinarians, hospital staff, clients and their pets.
