Immediate opening for full-time veterinary technician at Lakeview Animal Clinic in Latrobe PA. Previous experience working at a veterinary clinic or hospital required but CVT certification is not required for employment. Flexible scheduling possible and we will work to fit the schedule to your family and personal needs. We do our best to maintain a full staff that would include multiple receptionists and a 2:1 technician to doctor ratio.

Duties to include:
Assist veterinarians in clinical settings: admitting patients, taking preliminary vital signs and history, working closely with the veterinarian during all aspects of the appointment.
Assist veterinarian in surgery: act a primary surgical assistant, administer pre-medication and prep patient, monitor anesthetic parameters, assist in post-op recovery, surgical instrument prep and cleaning of surgical suite.
In-house duties: daily in-house duties include assisting with technician appointments for nail trims, anal gland expression, vaccinations, etc. Technicians are also expected to help with answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and other office duties while receptionists are busy.

Currently we employ four veterinarian, two practice small animal medicine exclusively and two are mixed animal practitioners.
