I am looking for a Hospital Administrator who will allow me to do what I do best - practice veterinary medicine and surgery - while they oversee the business and staff concerns of my well-managed practice. If you value independence, are purpose-driven, and enjoy being surrounded by a self-motivated staff, this is your dream job.

You set the rhythm and agenda of your 8 am to 5 pm workday. We will formally meet weekly to discuss the events of the past week and discuss plans for the future.  I'm looking for someone who is detail oriented, likes to think "outside the box", and will be guided by AMCOC five core values of honesty, empathy, excellence, respect and ethical behavior. 

The successful candidate must have a sense of humor, be flexible, and have thoughtful communication skills. I am looking for someone who enjoys working with people who share the collective mission of delivering excellent client services and patient care. This person will be the point person for all day-to-day functions of the practice.

I am seeking someone who can successfully perform the following skills and responsibilities from the start: handle all hospital accounting and financial matters under the guidance of a certified public accountant, be a role model and leader to our well-established team, supervise and hire staff, be a client liaison, engage in community marketing efforts and philanthropy, oversee major purchases, and manage the practice's information technology.   

 

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Highly competitive yearly salary commensurates with experience. Generous retirement plan (up to 7% of income) , comprehensive health care benefits, vacation time and continuing education.
About Animal Medical Center of Chicago
We are an independently-owned, Fear Free and Cat Friendly certified veterinary hospital located in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. We currently have six highly skilled veterinarians and a staff of twenty individuals. Our practice is located in a renovated and expanded Victorian home that is beautifully designed and equipped. Our caseload is extremely varied but our practice is known for our thorough internal medicine workups and dental care. We cater towards a clientele that treats their pets like family members and desires the best care for their pets.Staff is extremely self-motivated, self-directed and bright. A team approach to delivering high quality care and service is emphasized and supported in a respectful, encouraging manner.
