We are seeking an energetic, compassionate full-time Associate Veterinarian for a private, non-corporate, multi-doctor, small animal practice with two locations: suburban area of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and in the Susquehanna Valley area of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with a huge, loyal client base. Practice the way you expected to when you first dreamed of becoming a veterinarian and be excited about helping cats and dogs each day! We expect our doctors to be comfortable with basic surgical techniques and to have a logical approach to medical care based on the needs of the individual patient. Our emphasis is to provide compassionate, high quality, non-cookie cutter medical care giving you the autonomy to practice the way medicine should be practiced. We are equipped with a full in-house Idexx Laboratory, pharmacy, digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and latest surgical and anesthesia monitoring equipment. In addition, we do not have a boarding kennel. Our hospitals have friendly, professional, and experienced staff to help you achieve your goals. Requirements: Perform comprehensive exams with appropriate diagnostic recommendations and sound client education delivered with a professional attitude and genuine compassion. Accurate and timely completion of medical records. Prompt communication with owners concerning laboratory results and client messages. Interpret laboratory results, diagnostic imaging and patient referral reports. Proficient in basic canine and feline surgeries including: ovariohysterectomy, caesarian surgery, neuter, cryptorchid neuter, cystotomy, soft tissue mass removal, ear hematoma, enucleation, dental cleaning, polishing, & extractions, feline declaw, tail amputation, abdominal exploratory, fine needle aspirates, wound repair and other surgical procedures deemed appropriate by medical director. Provide services at an excellent standard of care level. |
Additional Salary Information: Compensation range" $115,000-$250,000+ Up to 25% commission for doctor services and products including diagnostics (in-house AND referral) medicine and food OR ProSal Compensation (salary and commission combination), •Paid Time Off from 10 to 28 days based on tenure; additional paid holidays off •100% Employer Paid Health, Dental, Vision, Prescription and Professional Liability Insurances •Pet care benefits for your pets' medical expenses •Other Licenses and Professional Fees negotiable Our practice hours are Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, Sat 8am-11am.
