Associate Veterinarian/Associate Partner
Hiawassee Animal Hospital
If you are looking for a small town where you can have a family, build a home and make a life then Hiawassee Animal Hospital in the beautiful north Georgia mountains near Lake Chatuge may be the perfect place for you to practice veterinary medicine. Here we focus on client relationships because we care for the pets of our friends and neighbors. We give back to our community by supporting our local rescue organizations. Towns County is home to the Appalachian Trail near the southern end. The mountains, trails and waterfalls in the area provide hours of entertainment. Young Harris College provides sports and cultural activities and opportunities for area residents. Our rural/resort area is miles from the big city but only 2 hours from Atlanta, Asheville and Chattanooga. Veterinary interests and skills should include internal medicine, diagnostics and case work up as well as senior and preventive care. Surgery and dental skills are a must. In addition, strong ability in communicating with clients, client education, staff education and a fun attitude toward work are appreciated. Multitasking ability, good business sense, time management skills, computer skills and an appreciation for fellow team members also helps. We are a family friendly, drug free workplace with an owner who cares about the employees, patients and clients. We are looking for a Georgia licensed veterinarian with an outgoing personality, who thoroughly enjoys seeing appointments, building client relationships and performing general surgery. There are multiple optional possibilities for buying into this established 30 year old privately owned practice, especially attractive for a young veterinarian wanting to own but share responsibilities with others. Practice hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 to 5:30 and Saturday 8:30 to 1. Emergencies are referred to an emergency clinic so there are NO on call hours. Contact us for more information.
