Focus your career on a growing field within bovine practice and the animal agriculture industry. Our growing practice is looking for a motivated veterinarian to help bring IVF technology to our local thriving dairy and beef communities.
Intermountain Embryonics is an all-inclusive IVF service that performs oocyte pick-up, all in-vitro embryo production, and embryo transfer services. Our company thrives on our employee’s enthusiasm for what we do, which is to bring state-of-the-art technology to producers for the purpose of providing customized breeding strategies that cater to their specific operation and goals. Current staff includes two fully proficient technicians that work both in the lab producing embryos and in the field assisting the vet, a genetic consultant/client relations representative, and a veterinarian/owner. We are passionate about helping the animal agriculture industry to become more efficient and sustainable while maintaining profitability for our farmers and ranchers.
The veterinarian’s main role is to perform embryo transfer, oocyte pick-up (OPU), and oversee embryo production in the lab. There is ample opportunity to provide regular veterinary services if so desired. Intermountain Embryonics has a donor housing facility and building to perform animal procedures, and has a mobile lab set up for field work. We travel several days a month for OPU and embryo transfers. A 6 month training period will be provided by current veterinarian to ensure OPU and embryo implant proficiency if needed.
Additional Salary Information: Negotiable based on experience. Ownership opportunity available for the right person.
