Two full time job openings for small animal veterinarians!

We are a small animal clinic with two locations, and are looking to add a GP vet to each location.  Both our Chester and Brattleboro locations are full service, multi-doctor hospitals.  Rockingham Veterinary Clinic has been around since the 1980s, but recently moved to a spacious, newly renovated facility in the heart of Chester.  Rockingham Veterinary Clinic was purchased in late 2019 by Vermont New Hampshire Veterinary Clinic, a 9 doctor AAHA accredited mixed animal hospital located 30 minutes south in East Dummerston, VT.  VTNH Veterinary Clinic was established in the 1950s and has been growing ever since.  The two clinics support each other (we refer to them as sister clinics), and doctors frequently practice at both locations.  We continue to grow and expand our clientele, yet strive to retain that small-town feel.  VTNH does also offer equine care as a separate part of the clinic (no equine duties required for the jobs listed).

Offerings 

• Relocation bonus $5,000. 
• Ultrasound, as well as a CR/DR radiograph system, and digital dental x-ray.     
• In-house IDEXX blood and urine machines.  
• 24 hour emergency/specialty hospitals are available for referral in the area. 

• Chiropractic and acupuncture certification beneficial, but not required.   
  
  

The finer details 

• Mentorship is encouraged, and available for those who need it, as there are 2 other doctors on during week days
• Four, 8-hour days/week with 2 weekend days per month.  Appointments end an hour prior to shift end (time for notes and call backs!). 
• Pay is salaried per diem, including 1 weekend a month on duty, plus an emergency fee for each case seen on the weekend worked.   
• Paid vacation, health insurance stipend, dues/licenses/DEA/liability insurance covered, CE stipend and paid CE days.   
• We currently only offer evening appointments on Thursday at RVC; VTNH offers them Monday through Friday.
• Urgent hours are 8am-5pm Saturday (appts booked 9-12) and Sunday, with an assistant available. Urgent hours are offered at VTNH to simplify staffing. 
  
  Start-date is flexible.  Our ideal candidate is experienced, but we will consider the right new graduate.  An interest in surgery, including dentistry, is desired but not required.
  
  Both locations have easy access to the highway for travel, and traffic is not an issue.   Southern Vermont is lovely and offers many outdoor opportunities as well as great art and dining!
