Full-time Equine Ambulatory Position Available!

Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center is a privately-owned, equine referral center and general practice which also includes a small animal department.  Services are offered at our ten acre hospital campus and ambulatory throughout the Northern Phoenix metro, Scottsdale, Cave Creek, and West Valley areas. We offer referral, specialty services, and general practice services for horses on a routine and emergency basis in surgery and internal medicine and we collaborate with other specialists including ophthalmologists, cardiologists and dermatologists on an as needed basis. Our general practice equine client base is constantly growing, as we are one of the most dependable and competent equine practices in the area, providing all services including sports medicine, dentistry, advanced imaging, immunization and wellness, regenerative medicine, reproduction, pre-purchase, 24/7 emergency care, and show coverage.  The hospital is fully equipped with a cooled, 12 stall nursing and intensive care unit, an isolation facility, nuclear scintigraphy and full-service radiology suite (1000 mA radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy), on-site laboratory and two surgery suites.  Our newest expansion will include on-site Hallmarq standing MRI with a standing surgery room and three state of the art isolation stalls, scheduled to be completed in May, 2021.

We are searching for an enthusiastic, team oriented, and self-driven Equine Veterinarian for full-time equine ambulatory and outpatient primary care work.  Schedule includes four weekdays, two weekends per month, two weeknights per week, as well as shared holidays. Our equine patients are comprised of performance horses of nearly every discipline, and a variety of pleasure and backyard horses.  Our call radius is approximately 30-60 minutes from the hospital.

The hospital is located in the beautiful foothill area of Cave Creek.  The area is known for beautiful winter weather, abundant outdoor activities and an affluent demographic.
