Jacksonville Community Pet Clinics are a locally-owned, small business providing high quality care at affordable prices. We have three clinics; one in Jacksonville Beach, the Westside of Jacksonville, and a Mobile clinic that is out in the community every Saturday.
This position would include daytime, early evening, and Saturday hours. NO Sundays, call/after-hours/weekend emergency, as our associated emergency clinic covers our after-hour/weekend/holiday service. Work week is typically 4 days per week as we believe in work/life balance.

We are looking for employees who are passionate about animals and believe the focus should be on excellent care. Our compensation is highly competitive with salaries that account for production without having production based compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Examine animals to diagnose their health problems
- Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
- Treat and dress wounds
- Perform soft tissue surgeries such as OVH, mass removals, dew claw removals and emergency surgeries
- Dental Prophylaxis
- Test for and vaccinate against the common diseases
- Operate medical equipment, such as digital x-ray machine, u/s machine etc
- Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
- Prescribe medication
- Update client records
Requirements:
- Work experience as a Veterinarian, Veterinary Technician or Veterinarian Assistant
- Experience conducting various types of surgeries, vaccinations and health checks on animals
- Knowledge of medical equipment (e.g. X-ray machines) and anesthesia procedures
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language
- Patience and a love for animals
- D.V.M. licensed in Florida
- D.E.A. licensed in Florida
