My name is Dr. Lynlee Wessels and I am the owner of Animal Wellness Center of Monee . I am seeking an associate veterinarian to join my team. AWCM is an AAHA accredited small animal hospital located 30 miles south of Chicago. My goal for this ad is not to rattle on and on about how many diagnostic toys we have, how compassionate we are or what great medicine we provide. Those should be a given. If you are looking for a real change, including getting away from all the corporate BS, please read on.
I do not plan on listing compensation or benefits. There is no one size fits all package. I can guarantee that your needs will be met, and you will be happy with the outcome. You can be paid however you prefer (pro-sal, salary, production, gold). I don’t care. I also offer all the usual benefits and perks, plus a few extra (no non-compete clause, margarita machine in the breakroom). Everything is negotiable.
Here is what I think is important to note about AWCM
-We do not overbook.
-Aside from the occasional emergency, we leave on time every day.
-You will not be called at home. Work stays where it should, at work.
-Problematic clients are handled by the PM who weirdly likes to deal with challenging people.
-Walk ins are not allowed, unless critical, of course.
-Our front desk is like an impenetrable fortress. Client demanding to immediately speak to a doctor? Nope.
-Break times are standard, especially since I take the most. I also enforce lunch hour. A hangry Dr. is not a good Dr.
-Abusive clients are fired with pleasure.
-No hierarchy nonsense. No cattiness. I have no use for this.
-Turnover is minimal. We actually like each other.
-No production pressure. I believe practicing good medicine brings in revenue.
-Uncalled for bad review? Feel free to respond. This is quite cathartic.
-The town of Monee is a work in progress but I’m buddies with the mayor, so I know great things are to come. Monee has a great sense of community and family and is surrounded by awesome towns too.
-Our team provides free veterinary care for the homeless and low-income residents of Chicago once a month.
-You will gain weight. The amount of client food gifts we receive is insane.
The only requirements for the position as associate veterinarian at AWCM are at least 2 years of clinical experience, a solid work ethic and to not be a jerk.
In conclusion, I guarantee that working here will remind you of your 10-year-old self that couldn’t wait to be a veterinarian.
