Desert Trails Veterinary Services (DTVS) is looking to add a compassionate and enthusiastic veterinarian to our team! Here at DTVS we see large and small animals, even an occasional exotic animal. We are committed to fostering a learning environment that promotes growth and community. The ideal candidate for this job will be comfortable performing routine surgeries, evaluating emergencies, practicing preventative medicine, and managing sick/injured patients in small animals and large animals. The office has paperless records, digital radiography, ultrasound, and full in-house laboratory. Large animal cases consist of beef cattle, small ruminants, and equine (primarily preventative medicine and reproduction, though increasing opportunity for sports medicine), with the occasional pig or camelid. Special consideration would be given to candidates interested or proficient in basic small animal orthopedic surgery. As an Associate DVM at the clinic you will be able to enjoy a flexible 4-day schedule with occasional on-call weekends. The position is for a full 40 hours/week but we do understand that life outside of work is important and want to promote a healthy work-life balance. Licensing fees, DEA, CE, liability insurance, disability insurance, paid vacation, and sIRA offered after probationary period.
